The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Indian Forest Service Examination 2009 for recruitment to the 75 Indian Forest Service Officers commencing from 11th July 2009.

Qualification

A Bachelor’s degree with at least one of the subjects namely Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Science, Botany, Chemistry, Geology, Mathematics, Physics, Statistics and Zoology or a degree in Agriculture or Forestry or Engineering of a recognized University or equivalent.

Candidates appearing for final year examination who meet all the requirements can also apply.



Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Age limit - 21-30 years as on 1.7.2009

The maximum number of attempts
(i) General Category - 4 attempts,
(ii) OBC - 7 attempts
(iii) SC/ST - No limit

ATTENTION-All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE ) 2009 Exam Dates Announced - cbse.nic.in

All India Engineering/Architecture Entrance Examination (AIEEE ) 2009 for admission to Engineering and Architecture (including Planning) programmes at the undergraduate level in the country is being conducted by CBSE.

The exam date for All India Engineering Entrance Examination had been announced by CBSE i.e. 26th April 2009.

The sale of application form from the identified branches of Syndicate Banks all over India, identified institutions and Regional Offices of CBSE started from 5th December, 2008 to 5th January, 2009.

The last date for submission of application form was in the Board office is 10th January, 2009 till 5.00 p.m.

The CBSE Notification says "

The eighth All India Engineering Entrance Examination for admissions in B.E./B.Tech. and B.Arch./B. Planning in various national level institutes like NITs, IITs, Deemed Universities and government funded institutions and States like Haryana and Uttaranchal will be held on 26th April, 2009 all over India and abroad. This entrance examination will be held in two parts viz B.E./B.Tech from 9.30 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. and for B.Arch./B. Planning from 1400 hrs to 1700 hrs. The sale of application form from the identified branches of Syndicate Banks all over India, identified institutions and Regional Offices of CBSE started from 5th December, 2008 to 5th January, 2009. The last date for submission of application form in the Board office was 10th January, 2009 till 5.00 p.m.

Applications are invited from resident Indian nationals for admission to MBBS course for the session 2009, Eligibility criteria number of seats for various categories, method of entrance examination etc can be found on their official website (jipmer.edu.in). Seats are reserved for OBS/SC/ST candidates and for Puducherry PBS/SC candidates and person with disability as per the Government of India rules.

Duration of M.B.B.S. Course:
Duration of the course is 4 years and 6 months as per the Academic Calendar of JIPMER followed by 1 year of Compulsory Rotatary Internship.

Eligibility Criteria for Admission to MBBS Course at JIPMER:
(i) The Applicant should be a Resident Indian National.

(ii) The Applicant should have studied and completed their course in the schools located in India in the preceding two years (except for those admitted against the seats reserved for foreign students nominated by the Government of India).


(iii) He/She has completed age of 17 years at the time of admission or will complete the age on or before 31st December 2009, the year of his/her admission to the 1st year M.B.B.S., i.e. they should have been born on or before 01-01-1993, and is an INDIAN NATIONAL.
(This criterion will be applicable also to candidates nominated by the Government of India. Request for relaxation from the prescribed age limit will not be considered for any category of applicants).

(iv) The applicants should have passed the qualifying examinations in the manner mentioned below:

(a) The Higher / Senior Secondary Examination or the Indian School Certificate Examination which is equivalent to 10+2 Higher / Senior Secondary Examination after a period of 12 years study, the last two years of such study comprising Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Botony and Zoology (which shall include practical tests in these subjects) and with English at a level not less than the core course for English as prescribed by the National Council of Educational Research and Training after introduction of the 10+2+3 educational structure as recommended by the National Committee on Education and

(b) The applicant must have passed in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50% marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry, Biology / Botany & Zoology at the qualifying examination. For Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe candidates, the minimum marks in the qualifying examination will be 40%.
Annexure - I lists the examinations recognized by JIPMER

(c) The Candidates who have passed the qualifying examination other than those mentioned in the list appended in Annexure - I will have to submit an Eligibility Certificate from the JIPMER before admission is finalised. Obtaining such an Eligibility Certificate from the JIPMER is essential to foreign nationals nominated by the Central Government for admission to JIPMER M.B.B.S. Course.

Applicants who have appeared or will be appearing in the qualifying examination in March/April 2009 and whose results have not yet been declared can also apply for admission, if the other eligibility criteria (i), (ii) and (iii) are fulfilled.

The bank timings when the application will be available are 10.00 AM to 04.00 PM on all working days (Monday to Friday) and from 10.00 Am to 12.00 Noon on Saturdays, Application forms can also be had from professor (Academic), JIMPER Puducherry 605006 up to 8 th April 2009 thru postal request, accompanied by a MICR bank draft of Rs. 750.00 (Unreserved and OBS) and Rs. 500.00 (SC/ST) drawn in favour of “accounts Officer, JIPMER” payable at any nationalized bank in Puducherry (UT). Two 13×7 cm self addressed labels must accompany with the postal request for the correct delivery of the application forms.

JIPMER MBBS 2009 application can also be submitted by an on-line process (Internet Based) by accessing the website www.jipmer.edu.in from 25.02.2009 to 08.04.2009. The candidates should first pay the non refundable fee of Rs. 750.00 (Unreserved and OBS) and Rs. 500.00 (SC/ST) by obtaining a demand draft as mentioned above. The draft details are required while filling up the online form. Candidates are required to take a print out of the online application form with the number after the successful submission of data. The printed form with candidates signature, left fingers print, photograph endorsed by gazetted officer and the demand draft must be send by the speed post so as to reach the professor (Academic). JIPMER, Puducherry 605-006 by 15 April 2009 0400 PM. Attested copies of recent OBC non creamy layer certificate/SC/ST candidates /medical certificate in support of orthopaedic disability must be enclosed with the application forms wherever applicable. These certificates are requires in the format prescribed in prospectus and obtained from competent revenue/medical authorities on or after October 2008. Failure to enclose these certificates will render the completed application (both off-line and on-line) ineligible for entrance examination.

Note: On-line applicants will be issued hall tickets for entrance examination only after receipt of on-line form completed in all respects with necessary enclosure and appropriate demand draft by the office of the professor (Academic), JIPMER unsigned/incompletely filled in applications/ applications received after 15 April 2009 will be rejected and drafts enclosed will not be refunded. No further correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

ATTENTION-DUMET 2009 Delhi University Medical Entrance Test

The Delhi University Medical-Dental Entrance Test (DUMET) for admission to
Under-Graduate courses, i.e. MBBS and BDS

Date of Exam: 17th May 2009 (Sunday) at Delhi.

Interested candidates may apply on the prescribed application form. The application form alongwith Bulletin of Information (BOI) is obtainable from the office of the
Assistant Registrar, Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V. P. Chest Institute Building,
University of Delhi, Delhi-110007, against a Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn on any
Nationalised Bank in favour of ‘Registrar, University of Delhi’ payable at Delhi, in the
following manner:
(i) By hand for Rs. 550.00 (Rupees Five Hundred Fifty only) between 10:00 A.M. to 03:00 P.M.
on all working days from 27th February, 2009 to 02nd April, 2009.
(ii) By Post for Rs. 600.00 (Rupees Six hundred only) along with a self addressed envelope of
10” x 8” upto 17th March, 2009.
(iii) BOI is not available against “Cash Payment”.
The application form along with BOI can also be obtained, by hand only, from Lady Hardinge
Medical College, Maulana Azad Medical College and University College of Medical
Sciences.
Educational Qualification for admission to MBBS/BDS course: The candidates must have
passed 12th class examination under 10+2 system with required subjects, i.e. Physics,
Chemistry, Biology and English from a recognised school conducting regular classes and situated
within the National Capital Territory of Delhi. The candidates must have passed in the subjects
Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained a minimum of 50%
marks (40% marks for candidates belonging to SC/ST category and 45% marks in case of OBC
category) taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The candidates must have studied
11th and 12th classes regularly from a recognised school situated within the National Capital
Territory of Delhi.
Female candidates belonging to Schedule Caste (SC)/Schedule Tribe (ST)/Children, Widows &
Wives of Armed & Para Military Personnel (CWWAPP) category who have passed
qualifying examination from Indian Boards/Universities or Foreign Boards/Universities may also apply for admission to Lady Hardinge Medical College. The condition of studying 11th and 12th class from a school situated with in the National Capital Territory of Delhi shall not be applicable to these candidates.

Note: (i) The Physically Handicapped candidates having disability of lower limbs from 50% to
70% are eligible and may apply as per the guidelines of the Medical Council of India.
(ii) In the event of all the seats reserved for PH category not being filled up from among the
Physically Handicapped candidates with the above stipulated physical disability then the seats
will be offered to the candidates within the physically disability of 40% to 50%.
Applications duly filled in and complete in all respect should reach the Assistant Registrar,
Faculty of Medical Sciences, 6th Floor, V. P. Chest Institute Building, University of Delhi,
Delhi-110007 on or before 02nd April, 2009 upto 03:00 P.M. Notes:
1. The last date for receipt of request for supply of the application form alongwith BOI by POST
is 17th March, 2009.
2. The candidate should mention his/ her name, address and telephone number at the back of the
Bank Draft/ Banker’s Cheque. The candidates are advised to retain a photocopy of the Bank
